Citizens Manifesto for Bengaluru City and Assembly constituencies

Every time a state prepares for elections, a great deal of effort goes into campaigning. An integral part of political party campaigning is the use of party manifestos to outline the vision of a political party. However, these manifestoes fail to shed light on a contesting candidate’s vision for his or her constituency. Along with large scale initiatives, city needs hyperlocal interventions to better the living conditions of the citizens. To address this, B.PAC conducted citizens meet and to draft manifesto for constituency.

The manifesto has focused on 5 themes namely

  • Mobility and infrastructure,
  • Waste management,
  • Water,
  • Environment & health, and
  • Women & Child safety

B.PAC thanks the citizens, RWAs, local schools, colleges, auto unions, clubs, apolitical associations, street vendors and others for coming together to discuss their issues, share their concerns, thoughts, ideas for the development of their constituency.

B.PAC adopted the focus group discussion format to draft the manifesto, wherein citizens interacted in different round tables groups and discussed the issues of their constituency. This enabled an open discussion between citizens of different localities and socio-economic groups.

The citizen’s manifesto is shared with the contesting candidates. Please click on the link to read or download the manifesto.
