This is an annual planned She Arises _ Join the Womentum Conclave which is envisaged as an outdoor, large-scale conclave to promote women empowerment and support for women’s safety. This public program will have multiple activities planned throughout the day. This event mirrors the spirit of a 'Habba,' bringing the community together to actively participate in various outdoor activities that promote learning, engagement, and support for women’s safety in public places and empowerment opportunities. The day-long program is focused to promote a sense of community amongst women, men and children to meet their goal in providing support for women empowerment and safety in public places.

Event Day Details:

On March 16th, 2024, Saturday, in Bengaluru, B.PAC and CGI, in partnership with Bangalore Political Action Committee (B.PAC), marked International Women's Day with the SHE ARISES - Join the Womentum initiative at Rangoli Metro Art Center, MG Road, Bengaluru.
SHE ARISES aims for inclusivity, collaboration, and the transformation of safety and empowerment. It provides a platform for organizations in Bengaluru prioritizing gender inclusivity and equity in their policies and practices, fostering leadership opportunities for women in socially impactful sectors.
This public program offers various activities, including stalls, flash mobs (group dances), street plays (Beedhi Nataka), stand-up comedy by women, women entrepreneurs' stalls, and interactive painting activities, with a focus on women's empowerment and safety. The day-long program fosters community engagement among women, men, and children, addressing topics related to women's empowerment and safety in the city.
The event was inaugurated by Smt. Priyanka Upendra, renowned actor and humanitarian. Along with Ms. Chitra Talwar, a member of B.PAC, Ms. Srividya Nataraj, Vice President Corporate Services at CGI, Ms. Shanmuga Priya Asokan, Vice President - Consulting Services at CGI, along with influencers like Approva Prakash and Geetha & Bindu, as well as women bikers, women auto rickshaw drivers, and women pourakarmikas.
Under the B.SAFE Program supported by CGI, B.PAC honored five organizations based in Bengaluru City with the "Excellence in Action" recognition for their exemplary efforts in promoting Women's Safety and Empowerment. The recognized organizations include Buzz India Trust, Namma Yatri, Bembala Foundation, Parihar, and Blank Noise. This acknowledgment aims to inspire these organizations to persist in their commendable work, bolstering women's safety and empowerment at the grassroots level in the years ahead. Their support is instrumental in fostering an inclusive and empowering environment for women across Bengaluru city.

Outcome:
The She Arises Join the Womentum initiative, commemorating International Women's Day and inaugurated by Smt. Priyanka Upendra, epitomized inclusivity, collaboration, and safety empowerment. Featuring a myriad of activities including stalls by 28 women-run Entrepreneurs, Beedi Nataka performances, group dances, stand-up comedy, and musical acts, the event attracted approximately 500 participants, fostering dialogue on women's empowerment and safety while celebrating the essence of Women's Day.
