ABOUT Yuva Hasiru Rakshaka Program
The Yuva Hasiru Rakshaka (YHR) Program is an initiative by B.PAC (Bangalore Political Action Committee), in collaboration with TE Connectivity India Pvt. Ltd. and the Bengaluru Climate Action Cell (BCAC) to actively involve Bengaluru’s youth in building a climate-resilient city. The program empowers students to become ambassadors of environmental awareness and sustainability within their local communities, aligning directly with the objectives of the Bengaluru Climate Action and Resilience Plan (BCAP).
Yuva Hasiru Rakshaka aims to cultivate environmental consciousness and climate leadership among government school students through interactive and immersive training sessions, encouraging them to take ownership of eco-friendly practices in their BBMP wards. To ensure long-term sustainability and widespread impact, a citywide network of Master Trainers is being developed to scale the program across neighbourhoods and embed environmental stewardship into everyday community life.
