Introduction of Civic Hub
What is Civic Hub?
As a way of continuing the B.CLIP alumni engagement, Civic Hub was started to help select B.CLIP participants in establishing on ground presence and undertake civic improvement and /or community projects in their respective BBMP wards. This is being achieved through meaningful interventions and innovative solutions to civic issues that can be thought through by the local stakeholders. The program is aimed to help the citizens of the ward to have easy access to government schemes, voter registration assistance, environmental initiatives etc required in the local governance.
Currently there are eleven such Civic Hubs have been set up across the city and based on the proven success these civic hubs, few more will be set up. All our B.CLIP civic leaders are actively engaged in various issues and causes in their respective wards with great enthusiasm to bring about a positive change in their neighbourhoods and wards.
Civic Hub Objectives and Purpose:
- To support the B.CLIP participants in setting up small office where they can be approached by citizens for various ward matters
- B.CLIP participant to demonstrate leadership & commitment to work on creating awareness and resolution of pressing issues of the ward
- Conceptualizing & designing innovative communication and outreach efforts to connect with citizens in the wards
